Among the twenty-some participants this year are prestigious international artists like Rafael Lozano-Hemmer and Daniel Canogar, pioneers of new digital tools including Kyle McDonald and Joanie Lemercier, and essential names on the new creative scene in Barcelona. One of the signatures of Llum BCN that disgtinguishes it from other light festivals is that it welcomes experimentation and innovation from students in art, design, lighting and architecture schools in Barcelona to participate in fifteen light installations.
